Project Description
The Project: Refurbishment of a 900,000 sq. ft. Wilkinson’s warehouse and distribution centre. The refurbishment included necessary tanking works to several conveyor belt and lift pit areas.Retaining between 600mm and 3500mm and constructed of blockwork and concrete, the work area totalled in excess of 480 sq. m. and required tanking using Fosroc CM210 flexible cementitious coating.
Protectahome were appointed by the main contractor to complete the works within a very tight timeframe so as not to disrupt the wider extensive construction programme.
Critical to the timeframe of the job, the application utilised specialist spray equipment which greatly enhanced the rate of application over a large area.
Despite the additional logistical challenge of following strict COVID-19 protocols, Protectahome were able to complete the works to a high standard within the extremely tight deadline allowing the main contractor to avoid any costly delays whilst continuing the wider construction works on schedule.
